Batea, in the Terra Alta
Az-Azeytun was born in Batea, in the Terra Alta district of the Terres de l’Ebre in Catalonia. Behind it is Abel Maijó, from a farming family, who learned from his grandfather to work the land, the vines and the olive trees, and studied viticulture before devoting himself to his own oil.
From that inherited trade comes a young oil with character, made from the area’s own varieties. The Az-Azeytun Arbequina is produced by Comercial Az-Azeytun XCIII SL, from Batea, in Tarragona.

Why the Az-Azeytun Arbequina in a 100 ml bottle

The glass bottle protects the oil and is convenient for serving at the table. At 100 ml it is a small format for trying the Arbequina of the Terra Alta, taking it on a trip or giving it to someone who already has everything.
Once opened, close it tightly and keep it away from light and heat; raw is where it shows its character best.
